1940年代からギリシャ系アメリカ人の家族によって運営されており、外観はニューヨークを舞台としたアメリカドラマのサインフェルドに登場する架空カフェの『Monk’s Cafe』としても知られてる。
また、スザンヌ・ヴェガの曲『Tom's Diner』でも知られている。

Owned and operated by a Greek-American family since the 1940s, Tom’s Restaurant whose exterior is most recognizable for being the fictional Monk’s Cafe on Seinfeld. Tom's was also immortalized in the song "Tom's Diner" by Suzanne Vega. Huge menu. Cash Only!
